I just want to warn people about my experience. I started receiving txts, emails, and even a letter in the mail from this company. What`s worrisome was a debt I owed, so I set up a repayment plan via their links in the txts, even though they didn`t respond to several emails from me and their phone number rang. I was afraid of the CCJ, which they threatened. Anyway, set up a repayment plan to start in February and I noticed that they immediately withdrew £1 from my card without warning! This made me suspicious, so I contacted the actual creditor who confirmed that they did not apply the AJJB law – it`s scary that they even send letters! For reference, if you have a Fernovo/Quidie debt, do not use the AJJB law First of all, it is not a law firm in the traditional sense, it is a debt collection agency. I work for a law firm and I don`t know what AJJB can be called that. My complaint is not because I owe a debt and blame it. Oh no no no. I take responsibility for my debts. This is because I have tried to log in several times through their portal because I want to set up a repayment plan. It`s not working. So I sent them an email.

No answer. A week later, I received emails and pseudo-thrating letters every other day. I responded to each of the emails and tried to explain that I wanted to create a repayment plan because I know I owe that money. Replies are automatic. They tell me to pay through the portal. The portal does not work for me, the login data does not work. I asked for another payment method, for example the company that provides me with its bank details or that sets up a CPA with my card. Once this is resolved, I will increase this rating as I understand that they need to be busy during the pandemic. I don`t feel like I`ve been listened to at all. All I have received are threatening letters (the best thing they are legally allowed to do is to file a CCJ, but I have received a few letters in which the letters suggest otherwise. Good job, I`m familiar with these things.. most others would panic and worry!).

So yes, AJJB.. answer me and I can reimburse you. absolutely shameful! I owed money, I paid in August and I again indicated in my report as late payments. When they were challenged, they said it was not their problem and that they should contact the original credit company. When I did, I was told to contact AJJB Law. Zero customer service, zero worries, zero reviews for this shocking company. Their checkout page didn`t work, but when I called them, they were very polite, helpful and understanding. You can cancel some debts, but you need to use the appropriate plan to do so. In England, Northern Ireland and Wales, an Individual Voluntary Arrangement (IVA) consolidates all your existing unsecured debts into one. You make a lower and affordable monthly repayment for a set period of time (usually 60 months), and then at the end of the term, all remaining debts are written off by law. I received a PPI payment from a PPI company and tried to contact them to pay their share for 6 months during the lockdown and I received no response. The next thing I know is that it was passed to the AJJB act and they immediately sent me a district judge without even contacting me.

Absolute scum. I spoke to Trudy and she was very helpful and polite. I would have given him 5 stars if his payment gateway hadn`t worked – but it`s not his fault. If it had worked, I wouldn`t have had to call. However, Trudy was very helpful and understood my situation and gave great advice. Thank you very much!!! AJJB Associates, like all debt collection agencies, is required to act in accordance with the rules established by the Financial Conduct Authority. Debt collection agencies, for example, cannot threaten to take legal action that they know is unlikely to materialize. They cannot send letters that look like court forms or claim to have legal powers that they do not have (they cannot send bailiffs without a court order, for example). And they can`t sue you for payment if your debts are managed through a Trust Deed Scotland or IVA (Individual Voluntary Arrangement). In addition, as a member of the Credit Services Association, AJJB Associates has agreed to work under the CSA Code of Conduct. Debt collection agencies that sign the Code of Conduct must not only accept its terms, but also agree to operate in the spirit of the Code. So AJJB Associates or another debt collection agency should do the following: Ultimately, everyone has to pay their debt where they can afford it, and if they can`t afford it, there are many debt management options we can use to help you.

We will explore many of them below. But just because you`re contacted by AJJB Associates for payment doesn`t mean there aren`t alternative (and better) options. So, before you pay anything, read the rest of this guide and contact us for advice. I owed a debt of £1800 which a collection agency called CRS passed on to AJJB. I was contacted by them and set up a monthly plan via card mandate. The default waa file should be deleted from my credit report, September 2021. In August 2021, another company called ACI wrote to me that it is now the new company that oversees the debt, but AJJB will continue to collect the repayment. I then realized that this new company re-registered the standard on bwgin in August 2021 and will not leave my file until August 2027! I didn`t think they were allowed to do that and increase the status of limilations for an uncertain loan from 6 to 12 years, just like that! I wrote to AJJB, who replied with a simple letter that it had nothing to do with them. I wrote to CRS who told me I should contact AJJB. I wrote to ACI who told me that it had nothing to do with them and that he should contact CRS. I then sent the correrepanz of the two back to AJJB and their response was simply “Your balance is now £600, be sure to top up the account”. I have now closed the account because I cannot cancel the card mandate.

Fraud all around. They are only meant to keep people in debt permanently and destroy their credit for life. Especially if you have a foreign-sounding name. A big fraudulent system and a scam Received from them a letter threatening to take legal action and a CCJ for an allegedly unpaid Together energy bill, it was formulated in such a way that it would only cause distress, she called immediately because there was no email address to provide proof of payment, only good that they could see, after checking that the payment had been made and closing the file, why didn`t they do it in the first place? If your account has been handed over to AJJB Associates, it`s probably because you owe money. Normally, your debt would have been owed to another creditor (which is why you can`t recognize their name). They are a debt collection agency for other companies and are looking for customers for payment. Under the Statute of Limitations Act 1980, certain debts have a time limit. In most cases, this limit is six years in England and five years in Scotland. The clock starts from the last time you made a payment for the debt or confirmed the debt in writing (for example, in a letter to the creditor).

According to this point, and assuming that the debt meets the following criteria, the debt is classified as prescribed, that is, the law stipulates that the debt can no longer be executed. You`re unlikely to lose your home – there are several steps to follow first. Unsecured debt (which accounts for most of the debt handled by AJJB Associates) is not secured against an asset, but if you seriously default on your payments, AJJB Associates may ask the court to have the debt secured against your home. This is done with an indictment order, but only if AJJB Associates successfully seeks a District Court decision against you. AJJB Associates is a debt collection agency – as such, its legal powers are no different from those of the original creditor who previously owned your debts. AJJB employees can sue you (reasonable) to pay off the debt, but they cannot harass or call you at unreasonable times (see below). You must also comply with any reasonable request to be contacted only in a certain manner or at certain times. AJJB Associates might send debt collectors to your home if you don`t pay, but they are NOT bailiffs and are not allowed to claim this. Debt collection agencies are not allowed to enter your home without permission and are not allowed to pick up your goods. You also have to leave if you ask them.

If AJJB Associates wants to do any of the following, they must first sue you: When ajjb started enforcing my debt earlier this year, I emailed them to explain my situation and make a deal on how I would do it with any other lender. They do not respond to emails sent to the address listed in their documents and on their website, and will continue to send a bombardment of threatening emails and text messages almost daily.
