1. Download Brother iPrint&Scan from the Brother support.brother.com website. Click here for instructions on how to navigate to our download page. 2. Double-click the downloaded iPrintScan installation file. 3. Click Install. 4. When the installation is complete, click Start.

Click Save. To save multiple pages in a single file, be sure to select a “File Type” .PDF. Click Settings to configure additional file type options that vary depending on the file type selected. To change the destination folder for your saved scans, click Select Folder. To save the document in an editable format (OCR), select Text or RTF as the “File Type” format. For PDF documents, you can click Settings and configure the PDF file type (for example, searchable PDF, secure PDF, etc.) – upload only one document at a time. – Long paper is available for scanning at resolutions below 300 x 300 dpi. – Long paper is not available for double-sided scanning. – Make sure documents are completely dry with ink or correction fluid. You can use this scanner on Mac OS X and Linux without installing any other software. 11.
Once the scan is complete, the results will be displayed. – You can download the Brother iPrint&Scan app from the App Store on your Macintosh device. For devices that support Mac OS X 10.10: Brother iPrint&Scan is not available on the App Store for Mac OS X 10.10. Instead, visit support.brother.com/g/d/ahdp/a00001 to download the app from the Brother website. Not all models are compatible with all operating systems listed. To determine the supported operating systems for your model, check the device specifications on our www.brother-usa.com website. Click here for instructions on scanning with the Brother iPrint&Scan app. If you are using Windows and have a Brother driver installed, the built-in VueScan drivers will not conflict with it.
If you do not have a Windows driver installed for this scanner, VueScan will automatically install one. VueScan uses the JPEG compression built into the scanner with this scanner to scan faster. This is much faster when scanning over a network connection. You can disable this option by typing “Enter| End mode.” – Click Add Pages if you want to scan more pages and follow the instructions. 3. Place your document face down and up first in the automatic document feeder between the paper guides until you feel it touching the inside of the machine. Apply the thin sides slowly and carefully so that the edge does not bend. Available settings vary depending on your device specifications. 10. Click Scan. 1.
Carefully adjust the paper guides (1) to the width of your document. 4. Make sure to handle the document by hand if it is longer than the extended automatic document feeder to avoid document jamming. – Macintosh users: Browse → applications → Brother iPrint&Scan. 6. The program will search for your computer. If your computer isn`t found automatically, make sure it`s turned on and connected to the computer or network (depending on your device`s specifications). You can click Select your machine to perform a new search. Select the USB or Network tab, depending on how your device is connected. VueScan is compatible with the Brother DCP-T710W on Windows, macOS and Linux. 7.
