The NHS Central Legal Office offers law students and law graduates a one-week internship during the months of June, July and September. The week provides an overview of the work of the OCOL including litigation, commercial contracts, industrial property and employment. You will also have the opportunity to spend time with those who support the firm`s work to better understand the work of a law firm.¿ In the summer of 2022, internships at the NSS Central Legal Office will be open to current law students and law graduates in August and September. We offer an internship, which will take place over a week, and will give an overview of the work of the central law firm.
Due to ongoing Covid restrictions, it is very likely that the program will run virtually through Microsoft Teams and will not necessarily work for an entire week. You will have the opportunity to spend time and work closely with lawyers in the following areas: PRIME is an alliance of law firms across the UK committed to improving access to the legal profession through legal work experience. During the internship, each student is assigned to a team where they have the opportunity to conduct research and designs and, if possible, participate in meetings with our royalty recipients. The winner will receive three weeks of paid work experience in the Scottish Parliament`s Legal Services team and a cash prize of £500.
